One of the things that I find so interesting and fun about this forum is how resourceful and ingenious the members are. I do not claim to be at that same level but sometimes I have an idea or two, to solve a problem.
Rather than run out to buy body-filler mesh, when I needed to do some minor Bondo patching on my Tercel, I remembered that I had several old air filters lying around, each with a metal mesh inside (like in photo).

It was strong enough yet flexible enough to be shaped and the holes allowed some Bondo to ooze through to bond to the surrounding metal. For my purposes, it worked pretty well.

No other vehicle that I have ever owned had a heart and soul like my 1985 Tercel SR5 4WD Wagon.
