Wanted: TVSV

Unfortunately I broke the bottom nipple off of mine…. I’m going to try some good ole super glue but just in case that doesn’t work it’d be nice to have a good one. So anyone willing to let go of a good TVSV?

... blocked with black gunk, swapped all the diaphrams that weren't already swapped when the carb was rebuilt, replaced the fuel filter and the TVSV. Still nothing, I replaced the last diaphram just now and started it right up (super cold might I add) and it only ran for 5 or so seconds before ...

... it is cold. once warmed up, the system cuts out. if the diaphragm is cracked or damaged the system will suck fuel from the float bowl into the TVSV and into the intake manifold, it makes the front two cylinders run way too rich. it if the rich running goes away with the vac line capped off, ...

... the fan switch in the radiator. I previously had frenkensteined a Camry radiator in there and modified the fan switch by placing it where the TVSV goes (not in use since I have a weber carb). I now have a proper radiator and need to move it back. As it is now, the fan runs more than it should.

... can cap off both ends and you should pass. you only need that for cold start to prevent stumbling when cold, it is cut out of the system by the TVSV as soon as it warms up, so capping it off will not affect the emissions. when the diaphragm gets a leak it ends up making the two front cylinders ...

that by pass tube is an easy fix, remove the housing and it is a slip fit. get it off (careful of the TVSV valve, it is platic and easy to break when old and brittle, you need it!). take the tube to an auto parts store and they will match the o-ring size. put it back on with ...
