1987 Tercel 4WD SR5 5 Speed NICE!

The nicer of my two T4wds and it is an 87 SR5! I may be able to help with delivery on the west coast as I have a truck and tow dolly, or help you arrange shipping if needed. Maybe they are not really all that overpriced...what is a couple grand...a house payment for most people in CA? If you get a good running, clean unique car that is getting hard to find a few grand does not seem outrageous to me! :o

My 87 has an aftermarket Alpine, nice for the day but it is cassette and the display no longer lights up so i cant even figure out what station I am on/tune into. This thing fits well and the orig...

Thanks guys, I got it sorted!! It was the distributor after all...with some finesse I got it aligned like the FSM says to do and to my surprise first try produced about 7 degrees timing right off the bat with the vacuum lines plugged. I set it at 5 degrees and the thing just idles perfect at 950RPM....

Thanks Chico, when I had the valve cover off the other day to check clearance I could kinda peek in there and it looked like the marks were lined up on the pulley...and since engine was new rebuild from a machine shop I assumed.... :oops: Here is what I am looking at now with upper timing cover off....
